İsraf ve magazin onların hayat tarzı olmuştur ve onlar yoksulu da düşünmemektedirler. Zengin müslüman aileler de maalesef onları taklit etmekte, lüks ve israfa yönelmektedirler. Aynı ailede hem de birden çok lüks araba, aşırı israf ve şatafat dolu düğünler vb. bu anlayışın dışa vuran bazı göstergeleridir. “Rahat ve mutluluk içinde” yaşamaktan başka bir şey düşünmemek, bir müslümana asla yakışmaz. Kur’an’dan yola çıkarak kâfire benzeyen zengin tipini ortaya koymak ve zengin müslüman kardeşlerimizi uyarmak anlamında şu cümleleri ifade etmek isteriz. Kitabımızda buyruluyor ki “Sakın o kâfirlerden bir takımlarına faydalandırdığımız şeylere (servete) gözleri dikip rağbetle bakma. Onların karşısında tasalanma. Müminler için de şefkat kanadını indir. (Hicr Suresi, 88. ayet)” Servet sahibi olmak hatta fazlasıyla mal ve mülk sahibi olmak, kâfirlere Allah’ın bir tuzağıdır. Müslümana düşense ne kâfiri kendinden üstün görmek ne ona imrenmek ne de onların yaptıklarını taklit etmektir. Ona düşen Allah’ın emirlerine uymak ve yasaklarından kaçınmaktır. Emir ve yasaklar bellidir. Tereddüde mahal yoktur.
Kehf Suresi’nde (32–46. ayetlerde) “servetini her şey sayan” zengin ile malını “Allah’ın bir ihsanı sayan” müslüman zenginin çarpıcı bir karşılaştırması yapılıyor. Kendisine çok mal verilen, malı ile övünen, nefsine zulmetmeye devam eden ve kıyametin de kopmayacağını sanan kâfir zengin diyor ki“Bu bağın helâk olacağını sanmıyorum. Böyle olmakla beraber, eğer Rabbime döndürülürsem, muhakkak bundan daha hayırlı bir akıbet bulurum. (Kehf Suresi, 35. ayet)” Burada bahsi geçen adam, hem nefsanî bir şekilde yaşıyor, insanlara malı ile övünüyor hem de ahirette de kurtulacağına inanıyor.
